Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

im my role i am expected to test welds and check for defects
currently i am working on getting my first pcn which will allow me to create reports by my self
i am responcible for not missing defects
methods of checking this include MPI (current) UT and Rad
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

i really enjoy me program as it is a good mix between practical and office work
and how i am able to work on platforms that are very interesting, i also like the office aspect as i am constantly learning

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

i have learnt how to test welds properly and how to find defects
i have also learnt the different types of welds and processes and how they are used
furthermore i have also understood the grain structure of metal and how magnetism affects it

How well organised/structured is your programme?

my program is well structured and thought out
once things have been compleated in the start of my apprenticeship it has been very good so far and very enjoyable
How much support do you receive from your employer?

i receive lots of support from my employer as they ensure that i have enough work to do making sure i hit my on the job hours and off the job hours
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

i am always able to contact my training provider if i am confused or stuck and they are extremely helpful if that is ever needed
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
