Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My role is primarily graphic design, with some video editing and motion design as well. The projects I work on include logo and email designs, template and video creation. I regularly interact with project stakeholders and my manager to get feedback and direction.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I really enjoy my role, but find that what I'm learning on my course and what I'm doing day-to-day doesn't always link up. I enjoy the classroom sessions and the lecturers on my course, but the one to one training with my development coach isn't particularly helpful and feels rushed.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I've developed my skills in Adobe InDesign and After Effects, learned tools including Creatopy and Knack, and also gained confidence in pitching and presenting my work to others.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
For my Apprenticeship qualification, it's well structured in the sense the platform we use has visible deadline and there's a clear roadmap for each module.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
My manager makes sure I have time to do my Apprenticeship work and asks if there's anything they can help me with.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
I don't see my development coach very often and they seem quite busy. While I sometimes have questions for them, I'm mostly working on my Apprenticeship by myself.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
The topics we cover on my course can be quite general, and maybe not specific enough to apply to my work. Particularly when it comes to technical skills.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are lots of extra-curricular activities at AstraZeneca, though I feel the Apprentice activities are more relevant to Science based apprenticeships and those based in Cambridge/Macclesfield.
