Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Within my scheme I rotate teams every 9-6 months. Responsibilities vary depending on the team I am in, some examples of work I have completed, would be: preparing packs, management information and other analysis to inform desicion making, attending presenting and taking minutes for various committees, and more.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I really enjoy my programme, one of the main things I like about it is the ability to change teams every 6 months as this means I am constantly learning and developing my knowledge and skills, whilst becoming familiar with the pieces of work I have particularly enjoyed.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt lots of new skills ranging from technical skills to soft skills. Some examples would be: communication, presentation, collaboration, time management/prioritisation skills, data/financial analysis, written communication skills specifically for committee papers, problem solving skills and more.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
My programme is well organised, it has a clear sturcture of how long placements will be and guidelines for what teams will be available whilst maintaining a degree flexibility. The qualification compeltion has also been well structured.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
In my scheme we have many support networks, we have line managers (these change when we move teams) and cohort managers (who remain the same throughout the scheme), as well as a working gorup dedicated to helping us and improving the programme.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
We have review with out talent coach's every 6-12 weeks, the support is there at times particularly when you move onto Level 7.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
My job role is not specific to my qualification, however I have still been able to learn new skills/pick up more technical knowledge which I can try to apply and connect to my role, I enjoy the differences as it means I'm developing a wider breadth of knowledge.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are lots networks within the organisation which apprentices are encouraged to get involved in, I have been able to help on the events team for my department and am also part of an apprentice working party. My department also throws a few socials each year.
