Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I work within a team and support them with daily adhoc tasks in order to support their work. I send out communications, reset passwords, monitor the stationary cupboard, create stationary orders, help to update the teams website, check documents for spelling, punctuation, grammar, book meeting rooms and any other administrative tasks that may come up.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
Really enjoying it. Lots of support and opportunities within the company.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Project management, managing own workload, adaptability, working as part of a team, courage, communication, presentation skills, active listening, teamwork & self confidence.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
Overall pretty well organised. Sometimes things get lost in communication but to be expected when working within such a large company.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Lots!
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
Training providers based elsewhere. Delivery is either face to face or online. There to support if need it.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
The daily tasks I carry out are tailored to my apprenticeship. I have objectives set at the start of each placement to work towards, there are also linked to my apprenticeship.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Lots of opportunities - support open days, support interviews, going into schools to support delivering sessions, work within the community and so much more.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend BAE Systems to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Supportive work environment, flexi & hybrid working - great for childcare, opportunities to develop, good starting wage and a job for life.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
Do some research, think about why you want to work for the company (not just for the wage), show you are proactive and willing to learn. Be you!
