Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I login either from home or in the office at around 8:30 I then check through my outlook emails for anything in my inbox. I will then open up ZenDesk to review any tickets in my personal inbox or in the teams inbox to see what needs to be handled. This is just one aspect of my job but I will end up using 5 - 6 tools to help me handle the requests
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the programme there have been some bumps in the road and you do learn a lot about your role as well as other roles when being on the programme which can then hopefully shape your career
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I've learnt communication and etiquette skills on how to respond to people within a professional work setting. I've also experienced making a mistake and being able to rectify what I've done wrong as well as having a really good manager to keep me on track
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

My apprenticeship programme is on a structured bi-weekly basis as well as having a monthly review but when it comes to punctuality and consistency it is not quite there yet It has improved significantly but I can't say that I fully trust it yet.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Support is in place whether it's from your manager, team lead or head of department. I've felt comfortable reaching out to any of these higher ups for extra support or advice
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I haven't needed to reach out often but from the times I have reached out they have offered support when requested
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I have learnt a lot about business especially coming into this role with no experience in a corporate environment as well as no formal education with anything to do with business. The course has taught me about key terminologies that come up in my area of business and has provided me with a greater understanding of what it means.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are a few events from internal communities to office sports teams which you can join by applying on the company intranet or if it's office based, just talking to the right people and asking around

Why?
The company culture is great, I eventually learned that no matter how high up a role a person may have they will always talk to you and give you advise even if they are very busy. I would always recommend talking to someone that part of the senior leadership team in Softcat as they are very insightful
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Softcat?
Do your research into the company values and culture I would say they are one of the most important things here
