Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Day to day, I spent my time within the high Wycombe head office. My role consists of testing our state of the art concession machines. Ideally, we have software which goes live on the machines and It is my job to test it and confirm that it is working as expected before its sent out live into production.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The software testing apprenticeship has been incredibly rewarding. It offers daily learning opportunities, fosters teamwork with skilled professionals, and provides the satisfaction of solving complex problems. Each challenge is a step towards creating better software, and the experience is invaluable for career growth. Overall, it's a positive journey that combines learning, collaboration, and professional development.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Of course! I have been able to work on my communication amongst many other of my fine motor skills. It really has helped me to develop myself and understand how I work whilst giving me the opportunity to meet loads of experienced and talented individuals. I have had a great community to help me grow and work on my existing knowledge and understanding of processes whilst learning more schemes and ways o working.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Very well structured. I have a really good support system around me and I know where to go when I need assistance or support. Since the start of my programme, I was nominated a buddy who would help me through the process and they have been extremely supportive and great at giving advice and assistance when needed.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive tremendous support from my employer, which has been instrumental in my professional growth. They provide comprehensive training programs, regular feedback, and ample resources to ensure I succeed in my role. The open-door policy encourages communication and collaboration, making it easy to seek guidance whenever needed. Overall, the supportive environment fosters confidence and motivates me to excel in my responsibilities.

I have been invited to many external speaking opportunities, many group collaborative work, workshops, and other events which have helped me grow. There have also been a lot of team building exercises and work.
