NDT Engineering Technician Review

My day to day role is to ensure the sustainability and integrity of components using various test methods, to identify flaws and defects within them. There is a lot of training involved from product technology to principles and processes, but also a lot of hands on training.

I feel it has been organised and structured well, but I do see room for improvement to ensure training and development could happen at a faster rate. I understand workload takes a big part within training but I feel there could be areas that can be organised much better.

I recieve full 100% support from colleagues, line managers and from my apprenticeship development advisor. They have all been fantastic and couldn't ask to have met more impressive colleagues.

I recieve full 100% support from our learning provider, within my first year, I have had the opportunity to attend an award ceremony and met various members which was a pleasure. Any issues or questions I have, they are all supportive in answering and helping towards my development.

It has given me the confidence and drive to ensure I deliver my role to the very best of my ability and allows room for me to develop much further throughout my apprenticeship.
