Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Lots of cold calling, emails, outreach, as well as discussing customer requirements and priorities and sending out quotes. Hosting meetings as well as doing project work and researching market trends.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I love the programme at Softcat, the company is fantastic and they put a lot of care and effort into the wellbeing of the employees. The apprenticeship is great and I feel very supported.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Developed my sales and communication skills, and learning how to take the lead on customer meetings and host meetings

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
It has a very clear structure, you are given the schedule of what you should be doing when, deadlines and dates for project completion as well as the training courses that you do off-site.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I feel very supported, not only by my manager, nor just my mentor, but from everyone around me. It's a very accessible culture and everybody is welcoming.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
I can reach out to my learning mentor whenever, and usually get a response pretty quickly. The only issues arise when the mentor is on annual leave, as there is not much guidance on who to go to in their absence.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
Spending time researching about computers, networks, collaboration, AI, etc. helps to build up my knowledge so when I am speaking to customers I am more confident in what I am saying
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
More than you could count, there is a club / society for everything, and if not, you can set one up yourself.
