As a Corporate Sales Apprentice at Softcat, you'll be part of a team that helps businesses find and use the right technology solutions. Your main tasks include building relationships with potential customers through calls and emails, growing existing accounts by selling more solutions, and learning about new technologies to help customers. You'll also complete a Level 3 apprenticeship in IT Technical Sales to develop your skills. To succeed, you should be good at communicating, organized, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. This role is a great way to start a career in sales and technology, with plenty of opportunities to learn and grow.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy the program. It's engaging, challenging, and offers great opportunities for growth. The balance of learning and practical experience is perfect, and I feel supported by the team throughout.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, I have learned many new skills and developed existing ones as a Corporate Sales Apprentice at Softcat. I've gained a deeper understanding of IT solutions and how they can benefit businesses, which has helped me communicate more effectively with customers. My communication and negotiation skills have improved significantly through regular interactions with clients. Additionally, I've developed strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet sales targets. The apprenticeship program has also provided me with formal training in IT Technical Sales, enhancing my knowledge and confidence in the field.

It provides a great balance of on the job training and theoretical learning, with clear goals and expectations set from the start. The program is designed to give me a comprehensive understanding of sales techniques and technology solutions, and I receive regular feedback and assessments to track my progress. This structure helps me feel well-prepared for my role and confident in applying my skills in real-world scenarios. I also appreciate the mentorship and opportunities to learn from experienced professionals, which further enhances the program's organization and effectiveness.
