Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

As a corporate salesperson my job mostly involves calling into accounts/businesses in an attempt to provide them with our IT services and in order to build a strong relationship where they rely on our services.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The apprenticeship programme is very enjoyable as I'm learning practical skills which I will surely use in the future whilst also building up a network, all whilst earning a salary to support myself.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Cold calling a variety of organisations has defiantly improved my pitching/sales skills, additionally my research skills have been improved as a result.

Within Softcat there is a clear growth timeline as within the early stages we are taught all the key information then as we go through the quarters we learn additionally skills all the whilst our targets increase alongside our development.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Softcat provide us with consistent support whether that's from our manager, mentors, fellow employees or the organisation as a whole, everyone understands the position we are in and aim to help us all the whilst providing us with inceptives to push us further.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The training provider like Softcat provide us with support through emails alongside virtual meetings and face to face meetings at their training centres.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

What we learn through the training provider directly relates to our role as they teach us sales skills such as how to improve calling/email pitches and how different types of IT function.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Softcat provide a variety of Social activities that range from a running club to Spanish lessons all the whilst having celebrations for the end of quarter and financial year.
