Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role consists of Licensing audits, creating Excel workbooks as a service auditing clients and their use of their licenses. Giving them feedback in the form of a report to see if they can save capital on their licenses or if they re under licensed.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have a great work to life balance and that is only because at work I am surrounded by numerous people who are glad to help whenever you need it.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt a number of new skills which consist of learning new software and gaining certifications in those particular processes.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Very organised from the day you sign your contract you get instructions on what to from work and your training provider.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

They always want to help, there is no time where you should ever feel to shy or anxious to ask for help, that is what I have experienced working here.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

They give us a lot of support too, they work in conjunction with my employer to make sure that what i am doing at work corresponds with the apprenticeship I am doing, and we work to find a solution together so that both my employer and training provider are happy with what I am getting on with.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Very well, its exactly what I need to progress in my role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes there are many extracurricular activities, at Softcat the foundation of the company are the people who work there, everyone likes to socialise and do fun stuff together, there are cricket teams, football teams etc, and compete against other companies.

Why?
I believe Softcat is a great company to work for, it emphasises the need for a good work/life balance and also at work it does it all it can do to make sure we are not treated like robots but humans who want to enjoy the work they do.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Softcat?
Be yourself, if you are more outgoing that is a bonus as there are a lot of social events and activities with your team and different teams. If you are naturally less outgoing, that is no problem for Softcat either as they will definitely find a way to make you happier in the work place and life.
