Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I work in a data engineering team, my day-to-day as an analyst often involves using SQL to query databases, or creating visual data reports for monitoring unusual activity within the Commercial Bank of Lloyds.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
1/5
I'd say it's good although the firebrand training is of a low quality and the requirements are extremely cumbersome for my role and hold back my ability to train more or in a broader area

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
Coding in R, Python, querying in SQL. Use of Power BI

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
1/5
Very poorly, the training is of poor quality, we are often left in the dark as to what specifically we will be learning, and there is often not enough time or a realistic timeframe given as to when a given training can be completed
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Loads, my employer is by far the high point of this. To re-emphasise, I have had a very poor experience with firebrand, whose training has developed me at a very slow pace, and they burden us with ridiculous extra-curricular tasks. Lloyds have been responsible for incredible, thorough, practical training
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
1/5
None, they do nothing and are extremely poor. We receive communications only surrounding an upcoming training course, never have I received any messages from them outside of asking for tasks to be completed. They haven't provided any support towards the qualifications at all.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
1/5
Not at all. The training they provide is impractical and unengaging. I haven't used a single piece of Firebrand training in my day-to-day job at all. In fact, the Firebrand training is rendered useless by the knowledge that I gain from my day-to-day role
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Plenty, lloyds offer a wide range of experiences, days out, activities, trips, and plenty of activities within the office which make it an incredibly nice place to work

Yes
Why?
They are a supportive and nurturing company. They care about and will invest in your development. I have received funding for external qualifications via my manager even when tangentially related to my role. My voice is heard, and they pay well, ensure a good pension and benefits scheme
