Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

work tasks are split fairly equally between classroom work and workshop work, tasks may include report writing or practicing engineering skills in the workshops.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my programme very much and enjoy learning new things about mechanical systems and how to work on them.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

while being in the workshop, I have developed and acquired new skills with hand tools and gained more knowledge of mechanical systems and how they work, I have also developed skills in report writing.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

the programme is well structured with many different courses to be completed, ranging from health and safety to mechanical assemblies. The classroom-to-Workshop balance is good, with enough time provided to complete all set tasks.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

support provided by the company is good and many things can be put in place to make day-to-day work life easier for employees.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

support varies depending on the task, more support is offered when completing workshop tasks than written tasks.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

the training allows for development of skills and knowledge needed to be a mechanical fitter.
