Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
3 days working on placement that rotates every 6 months
1 day for university
1 day for study
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
The good:
- Get help when asked for
- Shown a variety of things
- Friendly employees
- Good benefits
Room for improvement:
- Some teams work remotely which limits personal development
- Extra hoops to jump through for security and confidentiality reasons that can sometimes be a hassle

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
It's early days but I've learnt some software engineering skills

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
Overall very happy, we have a dedicated team to manage the apprentice programme
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
Usually get it when you ask for it
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
1 day for uni and 1 day for study. Both work and uni provide good support with the degree but you still need to put in 6-8 hours per week, off your own back, to complete uni work.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
The degree seems to give a good overview of software engineering
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
Effort is being made in this regard but it's difficult with many people working from home
