Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role is to develop and improve hand fitting skills and gain important knowledge about electrical theory in order to become qualified.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy gaining knowledge and putting it to use in the workshop where I can test my work to see if it is safe and operational.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt how to wire up circuit including sockets and 3 phase lighting circuits, creating my own drawings to do this. furthermore, I have massively improved my ability to use hand tools effectively.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

My program is structured as, I am aware of all the tasks that must be completed by a certain deadline. I am told the plan for the day and what is expected from me most days.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

my employer supports me well.

My training providers help me gain knowledge in theory and gain practical skills well, as i can see improvements in my work.

I feel that is the perfect place to learn new skills and become extremely good at your job role, the skills coaches are very helpful and make it their goal to make you as good as possible. The business is also very inclusive.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
Always try to gain knowledge from any job that is being taught to you and have a good attitude to learning and you will see vast improvements on your ability.
