Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I am a logistics planner apprentice, working with different sections of the business. Communicating with different teams and suppliers. Carrying out stock checks, working on different parts, ensuring shop floor have enough resources and no shortages.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy my programme massively, I feel I am already gaining so much experience and I enjoy the way each placement is planned out.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Developed collaboration skills, communication and integrity massively through networking, attending meetings and meeting new people.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
I feel overall the structure of the programme is excellent, each apprentice gets to attend different parts of the business and gain exposure. One thing that could be improved is ensuring no last minute changes are made to teams etc and we have time to meet our manager before our next placement.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
We have a huge amount of support, we have designated skills coaches and placement leads who we can email and call daily who support us with anything we need. We also have line managers who we can approach with any concerns.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
All apprentices have a college day twice a month where the skills coaches will teach you everything you need to know, we are provided with many different revision methods and exam prep when an exam is coming up.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I feel we are exposed to different knowledge, skills and behaviours that we might not realise we use daily. We gain an understanding on why we do things within the workplace such as Health and safety, procurement etc.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
We have many different stretch projects we can get involved in and there are many opportunities to volunteer for open events, networking events, apprenticeship council etc.
