Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

At the moment I am in the software department which involves coding using ADA. however I am on rotation going through the different Engineering departments at Cowes.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The Programme is good and all staff are friendly at Cowes however the apprenticeship scheme would benefit from more structure. also staff are too busy to realistically offer the most beneficial learning opportunity.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, Putting the information I have learnt through education into the engineering industry has developed my skills and knowledge and added additional skills like coding and digital analysis that I had yet to cover.

Not Very well as seen above.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

All employee will try to make room for you in there time schedule but due to project deadlines and not having the availability it is hit and miss.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The training provider is good and beneficial for education purposes.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I believe the training form the provider benefits my current role however the project management units would be more beneficial for future roles and understanding the ideas behind the current projects.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I would enjoy more networking between the BAE systems sites.

The Pay is very competitive for my age. and it is a good opportunity to sling shot carers as it offer a lot of in company development opportunities.
