Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
Intern - helping the team with their tasks, being given smaller, less significant entities to be responsible for, doing testing, picking the samples, documenting the results of testing, liasing with the client about any queries.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
Overall, it is rather enriching to go from university to work, back to university. It provides practical application to the content I am studying, and it made it easier to digest, thus enabling me to grow academically as well as professionally.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
I have gained sufficiency in Excel and the systems relevant to PwC, and developed my soft skills such as communication both orally and written.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
It is designed so I can become chartered as young as 22/23, meaning it's very well structured specifically with the goal of maximising the content and experiences I intake.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
The teams I have been placed on have been very supportive when I have any queries regarding the work I have been given.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
N/A - Besides presentations scattered throughout the year, the degree aspect is separate from the placements
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
Having studied prior to undergoing my placement has provided me with a base for me to work off of when I'm given tasks, as opposed to having to ask immediately.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
Many socials after work, and sports teams to join at PwC.

Yes
Why?
Paid placement alongside a degree; worth the time and effort
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
Very intensive and long hours are largely expected, but you can learn to handle it relatively quickly.
