Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I get in the office, find a place to sit near my team so I can ask questions and interact with everyone easier. I go through my work and see what needs to be done soonest and work on that.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
It's good in helping you get a good mix of both university life and work life which helps you manage your expectations for life after university. The work is also great at helping you learn as much as you can from early on.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I developed my teamwork skills. I learnt about how my work impacts others and how I can help and ask for help

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
It is very different to what is expected of a normal degree apprenticeship but the way it's structured means you do not have to split your full attention between university and work but can effectively handle both.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
There are a lot of support systems and people to go to for help, wellbeing and much more. The people that you can go to for support also make an effort to help you fully.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
At university, they promote clubs related to the module where you can receive additional help while studying from professors or other students in years above.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
2/5
The qualification does help you with the basics but actual experience as in working on the job and even the training received for it helped me perform my role better and gave me an understanding of what was expected of me.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
I've heard there are outside of busy season but as I was working during busy season I didn't get to experience that for myself as much. But my team did have wellbeing sessions sometimes where we would spend 30 mins of the day playing a game.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend PwC to a friend?
Yes
Why?
It is a big company so you always learn something new and get to be challenged. That may not be something great initially but the benefits can be seen through others who have been here for a longer time.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
Try to do research into what you will be doing so that you know what to expect and be more prepared if this is something you really want to do.
