Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role is an analyst role at part of the deal team in UK structured finance. My role is to support the deal team by supporting with the search for new lending opportunities, researching companies, analysing financial data and assessing the credit risk for that particular company.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

This programme has allowed me to branch out and experience things I never thought I would. I love the range of different people I get to meet and have found the apprenticeship both enjoyable and insightful. I look forward to the upcoming months!
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Since I began in this role I've learned a lot in such a short space of time, from financial knowledge to learning in depth about the economy and the importance of ethics. I've also developed my confidence and expanded my network through this process.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is structured well and lessons are always engaging and organised, though sometimes there are technical issues on the learning site.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I am very lucky to have a supportive team here in Bristol. I've always felt supported even though they are snowed under at the moment, they always make sure to check in with me and I never feel afraid to ask any questions.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I've not been in contact with my training provider as much as it's not been long and the first assessment isn't due yet. I have had a progress review which was full of useful tips and helped to guide me on how to better achieve my goals going forward.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

So far my qualification has helped me to understand that it's not just my job role and the rules and regulations, there is a lot that goes into becoming a professional and has helped me understand how responsibility and ethics are crucial, especially in the Financial services sector.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There is always an opportunity for apprentices to network, both socially and professionally. There is a great community where we can share knowledge of upcoming events, volunteering opportunities and other networks that are good such as the pride network.

If an opportunity comes up, always go for it as you never know what you'll learn and who you'll meet and the extent that it will help you through your personal and professional development.
