The placements you are given are questionable at best. I found my own placements and managed to secure a job in one of them. A lot of placements that apprentices have gone on didn't have work for them. A job isn't guaranteed, so you have to stand out.

None from college.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The college tutors are underqualified. The delivery consisted of PowerPoints that were copied and pasted from the web and just read to you. Along with YouTube videos. Anyone could deliver the way they did. I taught myself most of the modules.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Not in the slightest. The information I needed was self-taught.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
Find out what you want to do early on and focus on learning as much as you can about that. Source your own placements. Work hard.
