Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Sometimes I get to test different pieces of equipment which is very exciting but usually I'm sat at a desk in the corner working on my HNC which usually gets boring.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the practical side of things very much, however the HNC side really gets me down and stresses me out. I also think communication between management and us is poor or last minute

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I've learnt to be careful with equipment and how sensitive things are. I've also learnt test procedures and health and safety.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Not very, some people have moved placement, some have. There isn't a set layout all apprentices follow.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

They are open to feedback and are willing to listen however there isn't much action taken. They also dont highlight opportunities to you that may be beneficial.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Not much. There are limited resources and not very supportive teachers.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It feels a bit discombobulated and confused here, there is very low moral and it gets people very down.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
Be prepared that it's not exactly what its made out to be.
