Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role as a project controller means i look at data analytics for projects, also looking at budgets, scheduling tasks and so on. I interact closely with Project managers, finance teams etc.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my programme, i wasn't sure if it would be right for me as i hadn't done anything like this before, but not only is it the work i do that i enjoy its also the fact that i work within such an interesting company.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I've learn data analytics skills, developed skills in EXCEL, public speaking skills and other social skills given the collaborative nature of my role and the company i work in. I've also developed the skill of noticing finer details within data to notice differences and patterns.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

Quite organised, obviously with anything there will be a few things here and there but generally quite well structured.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Alot, from placement managers to early careers and just anyone else within the business, asking for help will never get rejected and there's many schemes we do like the buddy and mentor schemes that allow you to seek help and network with many different people within the business.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Quite a bit, for assignments we can email tutors to go over them before we submit it to get the best results and there's also a unit we can email to help with our academic writing.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Gives me a broader understanding of things i man have not done yet in my placement or can boost confidence in things i have done but my not have fully understood yet.

Its such a large and interesting company with so many opportunities you cant get bored. And the company genuinely cares about your personal and professional development.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
Let them know that even if you don't have certain experience in what they do you're enthusiastic to learn.
