Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
As a quality apprentice, I specialise in investigating customer issues and implementing the corrective and preventive actions to resolve these issues. I then feedback through my team and to the customer themself to let them know the status.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy my program a lot. I like the opportunity of learning new skills and everyday is different. The support I receive from the team is also great.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt a lot of new skills, such as SAP software use, how to communicate effectively with stakeholders, 8D, RCA analysis, problem investigation, product knowledge etc.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
I think my programme is fairly well structured, although I feel the skills I learn from being at work and doing tasks can be more useful than the theory learned with my provider.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I receive good support from my employer. I have review meetings with HR and also review with my department manager which all help support my development.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
I receive good support from my provider. I have monthly 1:1 support sessions and the tutors are always happy to help.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I think the skills learnt through my training provider are valuable to my work, and these help me carry out my daily work with improvements to areas like professional development and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Some of the team do sports together after work, but I am not a part of this due to my own personal schedule. There is also opportunities within the apprentice committee I am a part of for social events with other apprentices, and these are being planned currently.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Schneider Electric to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I think Schneider is a very good company. The courses and pathways they offer are great, especially for personal development, and these expose you to all parts of the company, while providing extensive support throughout.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Schneider Electric?
The most important factor is asking questions. Schneider can have a steep learning curve due to the range of products and processes, but with sufficient support and consistency to ask questions, it can make it a lot easier.
