Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Preparing for scientific projects, performing wet work for projects, such as animal regulated procedures, managing data and preparing data for clients
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
Programme is great, however as an in vivo technician (as opposed to technicians who specialize more with in vitro work) a lot of the content is very new for me so difficult to grasp

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Learning statistics which is useful for my role, learning how to manage projects (including as a team), learning how to troubleshoot, learning additional information on other aspects of the drug discovery process and how I can integrate this into my role

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
Company is very good at being organized and structure with the programme
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
Employer is very good at supporting me with helping manage tasks and ways to improve my skills via the programme
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
Academic tutor is great, University of Kent can be a bit difficult to get any important information from and often late replies however they are lovely and supportive people, but seem unorganised at times
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
Allows me to help understand the drug discovery process better, however I wish there was more in vivo material. The programme is heavily in vitro material but helps me understand work prior and after animal in vivo studies
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes, a lot of extra-curricular activities are available
