Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My role changes depending on the department that I work in, currently I am in the Project & Contract department in which I manage from start to finish, orders coming into Schneider Electric from various customers. This includes overseeing and collaboration with departments such as engineering, procurement, manufacturing etc.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I do truly enjoy it. Sometimes there were moments that I found things repetitive and doubted myself and my capabilities, but I'm young so these are all relatively common thoughts to have. I've met helpful people who are willing to engage me and listen to my silly questions no matter how many times I repeat them.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have improved my communication skills through contact with customers and working with various departments as you need to manage and balance these relationships, not everyone can be happy and sometimes you need to push people to do things. It is all about finding balance.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
At the beginning, the structure was lacking. My degree apprenticeship course was one of the first batches that SE really began experimenting and improving upon their apprenticeship courses, so naturally there were growing pains. However, some of these complaints are my own fault for not reaching out more.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive a lot of support, no doubt about it and am very pleased with how continuous it has been.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
I have meetings to discuss my course including my portfolio as my employer has to look at what is uploaded there and sign off if they agree.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I think it gives me practical knowledge that when combined with my growing experiences will be useful, not only now but also as a path for future development.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
I believe so, there are regular team meetings and company events that individuals can take part of, regarding sports activities, I believe there are as well. Even though I have not partaken in them as of yet. Perhaps in the future I will.
