Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I work in the stress testing team within forecasting and we forecast what the mortgage book is going to look like over a period of time due to different economic scenarios and inputs. We change this by changing python code and csv inputs. Then we output them using SQL and analyse the changes
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my programme very much, i enjoy coming into work and doing my actual job but also my apprenticeship work. My team gives me time to balance the two and always help me along the way which helps to enjoy it as im feeling supported during it.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt alot of new skills as i started with practically little knowledge. The skills i have learnt is alot of statistical models such as linear regression and spot matrixes. Then i have also learnt and learning about economics and how each change impacts it has. Then i have also learnt how to do presentation and speak in a large crowd
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme is very well strucutred. We have 2 classes a week for 2 hours each and thats split across 10 weeks. and then that equals a term. We then have a break before the next term which allows us to have a bit of a break but still required to do some OTJ
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I recieve alot of support from my employer, my team is very supportive and have a good understanding on how the programme works. Then my employer sets networkign opporutnites to get insight from other people to increase the chance of spreading the knowledge around
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Even though i havent utilised the most from my training provider. I do know that i can get alot of support from then and email them whenever i need help. My tutors always answer questions that other apprentices have and doesnt move on until everyone has fully understood it which i think is really helpful
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I think gaining my qualification through my training provider help me perform better in my role as i can utilise what i learn and understand in my classes and put them in my actual job role to make a process more efficient.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There is alot of extra-curricular activities i get involved in at work. I co lead a community with over 220 people which i really enjoy and work gives me time for. I also help out the ND community within LBG making LBG a more inclusive work enviroment. Then finally i do alot of event to advertise the early career schemes such as T levels, apprenticeships and grad schemes

The culture is amazing compared to other companies. You feel part of something and as you are a part of that team, you want to work hard so your team does well.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Lloyds Banking Group?
The tips i would give is look at the values and culture of LBG because if that doesnt align to you then you probably wont get accapted becuase LBG hires for the person just as much as the role and they are vey good at telling if your the right person
