Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I deliver training to new and existing members of the department. Prep and facilitate the sessions. Soft skills and technical training. Coaching a strength. Working with colleagues. Evaluating learning, adapting for learners needs as appropriate. Communicating with various stakeholders during the LJ.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I have enjoyed it as I am interesting in coaching and it inspires me and motivates me. It is a different way of learning that I have had to adapt to and at times that has been a struggle.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Existing skill been developed further - facilitating group discussions. Delivering Learning.
Have developed coaching skills further, in particular Leadership coaching.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
There are aspects of the apprenticeship that I felt wasn't structured at all. I had to query about what EPA was all about so I could picture where I was heading. I would have liked to know when teach and learn sessions were happening much further in advance to make sure that time was blocked out of my diary.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
My direct line manager has been very supportive. Nothing from the wider team including the apprenticeship team.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
It was very patchy! I had to reach out to enquire about EPA, I had to reach out to enquire about reasonable adjustments (and still not sure whether this has been sorted fully and enter gateway in less than a month) Three tutor changes.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
2/5
I have been working as a Leadership Coach so the learning has helped me perform to a higher standard in that role. Most of it has been because of what I have done and not what the training provider has done.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
1/5
Professional networking events that are not connected to the apprenticeship.
