Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I create launch packs to send to online retailers for new products as well as updating our brand rooms. I work with an external agency to create assets for these launches. I complete Ad hoc requests and communicate with retailers directly. I also work on media ad's by creating social and programmatic for launches and AO campaigns.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I had a lot of independency in my role with support from my managers to make sure i was improving. I managed projects such as updating PDP's on retailers to create more purchases from consumers.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I have become experienced in excel and have developed my skills in powerpoint. I have frequently used photoshop to create assets that are used nationally. My organisation skills have been improved with use of colour coding task trackers to ensure I stay on top of my work.

It was very enjoyable, I found everyone to be supportive as well as interested in your life outside work. When you accomplish something you are always complimented on how hard you worked.

I enjoyed my placement a lot at loreal. The support and responsibility you get is amazing and it really helps you decide what kind of role you want in the future.

Don't go in thinking you know everything as there is so much to learn. Be open to take constructive criticism and also approach situations with solutions to the problem's rather than the problem itself
