Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
2/5
Working as a Police Community Support Officer (not listed in the options). Working as part of a community policing team to support my Police colleagues and external agencies such as the local council to deal with community issues within my force area.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
2/5
There is a heavy work load in a short space of time without adequate support. My tutor through no fault of her own was not qualified to support-me through the course having not done it previously.
in total over a 12 or 10 month period, (after the 10 weeks IPS).

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Bataris box, time management and interpersonal skills such as conflict management and reduction.
As well as reflecting on my own practice and development.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
Difficult to answer. I have nothing to compare it too. However, we have a set of questions to answer and while our assessor is accessible and provides feedback there isn't a lot beyond that, furthermore no one else at my station apart from another apprentice has done this course.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
My employer has allowed me to study during my work hours, and has assessed my work and provided feedback, as well as supporting me to complete my assignments as much as possible. However this is directly in relation to my direct supervision and overall team.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
Some, and the assessor is contactable.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
This is guiding and informing my practice.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
None that I have been made aware of.
