I line manage a team of Work Coaches and Recruitment Specialists. I am responsible for leading performance and change, arranging diaries and dealing with escalations and complaints, amongst many other duties.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I am greatly enjoying my programme. It is the best, most personally rewarding, experience I have had in my career.

I have learnt lots of new coaching skills as well as developing those I already had.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is very well organised and structured, with support available from the Provider at any time if needed.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive great support from my employer. Not only have they fully funded my programme, they also have given me time within my work hours to carry out the required number of hours.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My Tutor is fantastic. He provides regular updates and is very encouraging and supportive. I always feel more motivated following our 1-2-1s.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Although I haven't completed the programme, I am already seeing how the new skills and knowledge are helping me perform better.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I am a member of the Sports and Social Club and have represented my office at District Quiz Nights.

It is a very supportive employer that is committed to enabling a good work/life balance. There are a number of flexibilities available to me and I have been fully supported when I have been dealing with things outside of work.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Department for Work and Pensions?
Check the news and find out what plans the Government of the day has. Include this in your responses when applying for jobs or when interviewed. Expect things to change frequently and prepare to be resilient.
