Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Reconciliing client trial balances to our own calculations and bank statements. Requesting evidence from clients on balances to identify material misstatements. Spend time at client locations and speaking to clients to gain an understanding of their business. Ensure all areas of their balance sheet are tested and identify any errors.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The programme has a wide variety of benefits and teaches a broad set of skills which can be applied in many areas. The programme is interesting and their a large amount of focus put on training juniors.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed professional scepticism and the ability to understand clients from a range of industries. I have developed the ability to be more critical to identiy misstatements.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Well organised, there are assigned periods for study and assigned periods for client work. There is plenty of time given for study leave and there is an easy to follow structure.

The employer provides revision courses and support in terms of the role to ensure that we are able to balance work and study.

The employer provides plenty of study leave and additional time to study and provides relevant revision courses. They sometimes help reduce workload to ensure we pass exams.
