Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

A typical day at work for me consists of: checking social media engagement, planning content for upcoming campaigns, assisting in planning corporate photography sessions, drafting and scheduling ad-hock social media posts, creating webpages for our UK website, implementing SEO, drafting and scheduling emails to exciting and prospective clients and often attending events to get social media content.
Alongside our Social Media specialist, I manage our Forvis Mazars in the UK Instagram, LinkedIn, X and Facebook (soon to be TikTok too!)

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I am thoroughly enjoying my program so far. I feel that marketing is a career that I am truly passionate about and that draws upon my best skills. I love that no two days are the same, I love being given the chance lead specific campaigns and constantly learn more.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt so many new skills within this apprenticeship so far! Aside from all of the incredible marketing skills I have learnt such as SEO, website creation, social media and campaign planning, I have consolidate vital life skills such as communication, teamwork, proactiveness, independence and time management.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

I feel that my apprenticeship is very well organised, one thing that I think could be improved is scheduling issues at Estio. I think that the content is well organised and links well with our DMI learning and that my manager is great at linking my tasks to what I am learning on my apprenticeship training.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Forvis Mazars provide great support, my manager and team not only support me but show an interest in the skills I am learning and how we can implement them into my role.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The support at Estio is great! Pav my coach is so attentive and willing to answer any of my queries. He sets clear deadlines and timelines, which I find extremely helpful. We also have regular check-ins to see I am progressing.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Incredibly well. My manager is really great in helping me use the skills I learn into my day to day role to enhance my skills even further. I love that I learn about new software in my apprenticeship, that I can take back to my team.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

The opportunities to join extra-curricular activities at Forvis Mazars endless! From starting at the firm you are encouraged to join groups, this could be anything from one of our 12 networks to volunteering to a sports club - there opportunities for each and every person. I also love that you can get really involved in these groups from the start of your journey at the firm, you don't have to be a Director or a Partner to lead a network, you could be a graduate or school leaver, as long as you have the drive and passion!

It is such an inclusive and supportive firm. We are always pushed to endeavour! I love the sense of community at Forvis Mazars and I really enjoy the feeling that everyone wants to push eachother further, to give constructive feedback and help you grow in your career.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Forvis Mazars?
Be yourself! YOU are your biggest asset. Forvis Mazars want you for you, not who you think you should be. Being authentic is the best way to show your passion and drive, which are great qualities to have.
