Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I usually work on one audit client at a time. My day to day consists of performing testing, communicating deliverables with clients and querying things with them where necessary. Helping junior members of the team. Have lunch with everyone in shared kitchen space.

Yes, I am no confident with accounting treatments, proficient in excel, more confident socially and in dealing with clients

Varies, some things are well communicated others are not. For example what is expected of us in terms of our off the job training log, some of the requirements to this were news to all of us who had been preparing this over the last 2 years ready for submission.

It helps enormously, a lot of the knowledge applied to my role comes from understanding developed in college as well as on the job

Be yourself, to me character is more important than brains in this role, we can all learn how to audit but you can't learn how to be a good person!
