Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Overseeing fraud detection activities for our operations. Working and collaborating on projects to reduce risk to the organisation. Providing support to operations for City division, conducting and providing analysis on ways to help reduce losses and deliver budget.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

It has really enriched my job role and supported my personal development. I believe it has help best position me for development in the future.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt many new skills throughout my apprenticeship studies such as IT change management, project management, a deeper understanding of finance, organisational governance structures and organisational strategy.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The structure of the programme is great, however the organisation of it could be better. Changes in tutors etc have been a contributing factor in this.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer has been incredibly supportive of my studies, both with time, resources when I have needed study materials etc and providing opportunities for me to connect with other people in the organisation I otherwise wouldn't have.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

They are very supportive and understanding.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Absolutely. There are so many things I have learnt that have enabled me to bring a fresh perspective and/or new ways of doing things.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are Christmas socials, pay day socials etc, however as I work remotely these are usually difficult to get to as they are usually based at head office.

Yes
Why?
It's such a big organisation, so almost whatever your profession there are roles. This also provides the opportunity to move roles if you so wish. Good benefits package and opportunity for shares etc too.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Mitchells and Butlers?
Be yourself! Also focus on what transferrable skills you ca bring to a prospective role, rather that just what you have direct experience of- this can bring some great perspective and fresh ideas.
