Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My role consists of working along side an account, learning the quote to cash process, working in a small team of apprentices where we are constantly networking with vendors and other individuals who work at Computacenter. We gain a lot of knowledge from other employees and take this into our role. We work with teams to create materials, orders, quotes and use outstanding order reports to ensure our account is on track and the order process runs smoothly for the customer.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I really enjoy my programme because I am part of a supportive team where we work together to achieve the best results. I have a great manager who provides guidance and support, as well as a strong network of people I can turn to for help, including buddies, mentors and former apprentices.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Since joining Computacenter, my confidence has grown significantly, allowing me to network and build relationships with ease. I have developed various skills in software such as SAP and OneTouch, which I apply daily. My communication skills have improved greatly—I can confidently lead conversations and communicate professionally with others in my industry. Additionally, I am able to express my points effectively over email while maintaining a professional tone. I have also gained valuable skills in time management, problem-solving and data handling.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
My programme is very well structured as we have a compulsory study day where all other work can be put on hold and our training is our main focus. We were given 6 weeks of training at the start of the programme which really gave us a feel of what our expectations during the job role were. We were introduced to many new people and buddied up with individuals so that we have a support system around us.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive a lot of support from my employer, I have daily check ins, monthly 1-2-1's with my manager. All mangers across Computacenter are very supportive.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
Babington is very helpful as they offer any extra support I may need. They make sure we have a clear understanding of what is expected at our end point assessment and answer any questions we may have.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
The work sheets given by the training provider connects to what we do in our role so we are able to gain knowledge from the task sheets and apply this when we are in role. The workshops they put on also is a great way of learning skills that can be applied day to day.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are many networking opportunities such as visiting the London office to create relationships with people who work there, vendor events where you are able to grow your network and build strong relationships with vendors. There are also lots of sports events such as football that people can get involved with out of office hours.
