Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role involves a lot of networking and getting to know people, in and around the IT industry. This apprenticeship teaches how to manage orders from pre-sales all the way to post-sales. By monitoring task due dates, it ensures that I have more responsibility which improves my confidence.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

This programme is very enjoyable as there are various vendor events where we get invited to, after and during work. There are many celebrations that take place, such as national apprenticeship week, where all of our apprentices come together to network and celebrate.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have improved my soft skills and customer interaction skills due to training courses we go through. I have improved on my communication skills and have benefitted my personal development which helps me with my everyday life skills.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

This programme is structured to a high level. This is because the application process told me exactly what stages I need to go through and where I need to be. The Future Talent team make sure that all of the apprentices are not falling behind by arranging monthly catch-ups and monthly apprentice community calls where we can share our experiences or any issues.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer puts in dates where we would catch up and if I had any issues, then I have a space to share my thoughts with them. I find this very useful and it makes me feel more comfortable as an employee. The staff in general are really welcoming to us and offer as much support as they can.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My training provider is always available, during working hours, if I needed help and support in any way. Meetings are regularly set up to catch up my on progress and what I can do to make what I am doing better and what I can do to ensure that I am getting the best out of the level 3 apprenticeship.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I believe that this training helps a lot. This is because the training that I receive, I would use that in my day-to-day working life. There are also extra training sessions available that we can go to if we needed any extra support.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are many networking opportunities that we get such as vendor events, where they take us out after work hours and we can get to know their business and network with them. They also host lunch and learns with us, where we can get to know their business and their products more in depth.
