Daily tasks involve report creation, document reviews and handling adhoc vulnerability requests. My communication stays within the wider team with email communications with system team and service owners

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Ive learnt more soft skills such as communication and excel however my technical background has not grown as much as i wish it had
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

It was well organised with the residential training days and the prep that you had to do beforehand. The days spent there was also well structured. Outside the residential training course, the structure of the programme was a bit more disorganised due to conflicts with learning mentor and deadlines however it was all paced at an appropriate speed
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer gave me so much support - they would check in whenever they could and were always ready to give me an extra hand and help support my development even when it was with a different team and different responsibilities.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The support was helpful and really clear that helped me stay on track even with future projects. However around the epa presentation point i was given less support that i wouldve liked as they overestimated my abilities and hence i failed my first set of interviews. They did step up and conduct weekly meetings with me afterwards to ensure i know what to expect and how to answer the questiosns in the best way
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It has helped me question situations more and when it comes to creating a new solution i have SWOT and cost/benefit analysis already being drawn up as to ensure that the solution best fits the stakeholders. it has helped my documentation writing skills too when i document the process - i am able to also view for any gaps of improvement.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

The Apprentice Ambassdor Network, volunteering at schools to host STEM workshops, mentoring for secondary school students or new apprentices in the company

Why?
There is always so much opportunity available to everyone here and the community is welcoming. They dont make apprentices feel little, but invite them into their teams as a valued member
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Computacenter?
Ensure that you let your personality shine through during interviews, as they would want an apprentice that adds to their current network in a social and educational way.
