Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I am a software engineer in a Networks team, using public and private cloud to improve and automate authentication services to broadband users.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I have thoroughly enjoyed my apprenticeship to date, and I have felt a sense of purpose within my team as a valued member. I have been given a high degree of responsibility on projects and good support in the degree

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have developed a number of soft skills including technical and non-technical communication and teamwork. As part of my degree and work experience I have also developed new technical skills using cloud technology and software engineering paradigms and principles

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
The work side is very well structured and organised for me to develop as a professional. The degree side however has had organisational difficulties at times, and some modules could have been structured better in my opinion
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive a lot of support from my team to develop and for the university side, as they have given me a study day and additional time when required to get assignments done, which has allowed me to achieve higher grades
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
I receive a decent amount of support, there is a good academic team for asking questions and module lecturers are generally reachable for questions and additional support
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
Some modules have been incredibly helpful for my role whereas some modules are hard to find connections to my role, but I believe this is natural due to the varying responsibilities of each apprentice
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
N/A
