Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
In the first year of my apprenticeship I am focusing on learning how my business unit operates due to the size and nature of the business this has included: 6 months in Leeds and then 6 months in Telford. During my stint at the Leeds office I have spent time in the factory, updated essential documents and collated evidence on the business' processes.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I greatly enjoy my programme. I believe that there is lots of areas in which I can grow and personally develop

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
The main skill I have developed is communication, when I started I was very shy and didn't know how to talk to colleagues let alone ask them for help. My manager was very quick to pick up that I was struggling with me and gave me support and practise.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
I would say that it is mostly organised well, there have been a couple of instances where I think it could have been better organised but overall it is good.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive a lot of support from my employer, they are understanding if I need help or time off, they always push me to be the best version of myself without becoming overbearing.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I receive support from my training provider for example when the class was behind on coursework, they extended the deadline, I have quarterly performance reviews and catch ups in-between reviews.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I feel like my qualification will help me greatly in my role
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes there is an apprentice social committee that operates nationwide which hosts events like quizzes and coffee roulette. You can do DofE, and there are other commitees that you can be a part of if you ask.
