Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

In my role, I review universal credit claims from ID verification, to analysing bank statements, checking other elements such as housing, children etc, to ensure that claimants are getting paid the correct amount. In this we may be faced with challenges such as claimants with severe mental health conditions, feeling suicidal etc.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Now that I am more confident in this role I enjoy working on the claims and interacting with claimants.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes I have overcome my 'fear' of speaking on the phone to people who I cannot see. This role has given me ability to make executive decisions on certain matters.

I have received a good amount of support from my training provider. He has given me the ability to strive forward and try to achieve the best

It has given me an insight into how managers role is, and what they need to do to make decisions, and other things. Using what I learn with my training provider I am able to use it
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

yes we have an array of things going on, we have social gatherings, pub quizzes, comedy nights, wellbeing hour etc.
