Overall Rating

3.5 /5

The Overall Rating is the average of all the ratings given in each category. We take those individual ratings and combine them into one final score!

3/5 - Overview of Role
4/5 - Skills Development
3.2/5 - Structure and Support

Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
Shadowing meetings/customer calls, learning about the technology solutions and services we provide, pitching and presenting back to senior leadership, supporting the account teams on tasks such as vendor mapping
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I enjoy the sessions but feel that sometime it isn't completely relevant to our internal role - it's made for all IT sales people but our company is quite unique (no cold calling, no proper customer exposure until after the programme)

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt a lot about the IT industry and how to ask questions that may open up new opportunities in the customer

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
Usually fairly relevant to what we are doing internally
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
Not much - about one call every month. However, this seems to be enough and they are on-hand on the internal messaging platform to answer any queries
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
A decent amount - they are on-hand to answer questions and arrange a call if necessary
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
2/5
There are some topics that I've learnt from (qualifying a customer and objection handling), but generally I don't feel as though I have learnt a lot
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Computacenter to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I love the culture - very sociable and very friendly. The exposure you get to senior people is great, as is their willingness to help with your development
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Computacenter?
Be yourself, be relaxed, be confident - they want to see your personality shine through (in sales especially)
