Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I get assigned work by my team and get support on it if needed, sometimes I am also out of office on inspections and viewings. I go to University 6 weeks a year in 2 week blocks and during this time I am not at work, in-between each block I study and submit coursework is done within working hours.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I really enjoy my programme and don't have anything negative to say about it. There is nothing about the apprenticeship programme that I would change as I have had amazing opportunities already.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Since working at CBRE I have developed skills in Excel and can now carry out tasks on Excel at a much faster pace.
I have became a more confident individual due to meeting so many new people and introducing myself to them.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
My programme is very well structured and organised. For example I already have my university dates for the next 2 years which is beneficial to me as it means me and my team can plan events/ meetings around these dates. I manage my university studies and workload well by being made aware of deadlines allowing me to know what's best to do first.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive a lot of support from my employer. They schedule 1 on 1 meetings regularly to check in and see how I am getting on. I receive feedback after each task and get congratulated when I excel in my work. I set yearly goals for me to achieve and my employer pushes and motivates me to reach them.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I receive a lot of support from my training provider. I have had meetings scheduled by my training provider, where they let me and my manager give feedback on how I am getting on with my studies. My training provider have also sent my manager positive emails highlighting my success.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
Not only does my qualification give me a better understating in my work but it also teaches me a lot about other areas of the business, for example building surveying. This allows me to understand fully how CBRE operates and connect as a business.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes! I have had many opportunities since starting at CBRE 6 months ago. For example I went to London two weeks into the apprenticeship programme to meet the team in London. I am also running a charity event in April for Alzheimer's society with another first year apprentice where we are taking full responsibility on planning the event. I am apart of the junior board , therefor this year I will be planning exciting events for the apprentices/grads in Scotland. Furthermore, I have been good at prioritising going to every internal and external event I can make to grow my network.
