Overall Rating

2.6 /5

The Overall Rating is the average of all the ratings given in each category. We take those individual ratings and combine them into one final score!

2/5 - Overview of Role
3/5 - Skills Development
2.4/5 - Structure and Support

Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
I manage a portfolio of change projects for the Tax and Financial Planning service lines. I also lead the rollout of Microsoft Copilot across the UK and support other change management initiatives.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
1/5
I enjoyed it to begin with but I lost interest as time went on because I didn't find the content or the tutors very engaging. Blackboard was also a bit chaotic and difficult to navigate because there were too many resources. Lectures were really poor on the whole

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
Yes. I have improved my project management, change management and stakeholder engagement skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
1/5
Not great - too many online portals which are complex to use and confusing. Some technical issues
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
my employer didn't really know much about what I was studying and there wasn't much application to my role but they gave me enough time off work to complete everything which was good
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
Lots of support - good to have a skills coach on hand to answer questions and check in with me regularly
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
2/5
Some content is relevant theoretically but it didn't really align with my role
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
Yes but not many people attend them and it's difficult to have a clear view of everything on offer

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Forvis Mazars to a friend?
No
Why?
Since I've joined I haven't made much progress in my career and it feels like the firm doesn't know what to do with me - not much structure or opportunities to progress. My team is very remote so not much of a social aspect.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Forvis Mazars?
I would advise them to not apply if they are looking for a sociable company with opportunities to progress quickly. However, it is a decent firm with a solid reputation which provides stability
