Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Administrative tasks such as reviews or cold reads of reports prepared by the team. Weekly catch up with team, and usually I am allocated on a project where I can do financial statement analysis or also take part in writing report. Throughout the day there are always calls between team members for briefing of next tasks, solving questions,etc.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy the program as of now because the team is treating me like a team member and not like a new joiner. I am given tasks, briefed through all of them and I feel confident asking questions to all my colleagues. There is overall a great environment and opportunity for growth in the firm.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, I have greatly developed various skills. The main skill that I have developed are my excel reporting skills. I have managed to make my work look exactly like the company standard and I am now more efficient in doing work because of many new formulas and shortcuts my colleagues have taught me.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

It is very well organised. What I particularly enjoy about the structure of the program is that it leaves me with adequate time to rest before I start my new set of exams. The firm also has a designated team for early careers trainees, which usually respond really fast. It makes me feel that the firm takes my development seriously
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support from my employer, in many types. My employer provided me with in-person college training to prepare for exams, as well as free study materials. I am given adequate time-off in order to focus on my studies and perform well in exams.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

There is a great deal support available from the training provider. There is a lot of guidance about where you should be on each stage of your studies, so that no student feels lost during the study period. There is also an online forum with very quick responses for tutors in case I have any questions.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I really feel that after the recent set of exams, my capabilities at work have transformed. This is because I was made aware of recent financial reporting standards, and various regulations that I need to know If I am to excel at my job.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, there are loads of extra-curricular activities that one can carry out at the firm. There are sports clubs that employees can choose from, or any kind of club one is interested in (e.g. reading club). Socials are arranged on an informal basis across teams, but there are also away days and more formal socials monthly

Because it is honestly a great culture. People respect working hours, the people create a good environment for everyone! There are lots of opportunities that one can take while being at the firm!

During the interview, be honest in all your answers. Tailor your responses to the firm! Show that you care about the firm and its mission, and not just the role and the salary!
