Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Every day is different but it involves assisting more junior levels of staff in performing various different audit work as well as communicating with the clients about deliverables and information they need to provide alongside being in constant communication with managers and partners to discuss audit progress.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy constantly learning new things and getting to learn and work with a wide variety of people and businesses.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

My communication skills and confidence has massively improved the longer I have been in this role. I know also have really good technical knowledge in terms of audit and accountancy also.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

There is a set pathway for apprentices so you always know what is expected of you and can plan for exams and various other aspects of the apprenticeship. There is also a dedicated early careers team to assist if there are issues.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Everyone in my office and the firm as a whole are super supportive and encourage continuous improvement and development.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

BPP are in constant communication when it comes to sitting exams and there is a dedicated team within BPP that deals with Mazars employees directly.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The content I have learnt has been crucial to the work I perform. I am able to apply accounting concepts I learn through the qualification to the clients that I work on.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I help a lot with early careers recruitment events so I get the opportunity to travel to different schools and universities to advertise the roles we have to offer.
