Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
In my current rotation I investigate network telemetry data for suspicious activity, write threat intelligence reports, and contribute to any tooling/automation within the team.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
Depends on the work, though I have particularly enjoyed my current rotation. Many interesting anomalies in our network telemetry data to investigate.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
New skills:
- Identifying threats and vulnerabilities
Existing skills that have been developed:
- SQL
- Python
- General digital skills
- Report writing

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Very well organised, no issues with this.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I have always received support after asking for it. Have been granted extra study days and WfH days when necessary.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
Plenty. The University work always took priority.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
2/5
Good, however too much focus on computer science basics near the beginning of the course and too many business modules. Academic writing is also very different to how reports are written at work; many archaic formalities which don't lend themselves well to technical subjects.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are but I don't do any.
