Commercial management involves dealing with Application for Payment and Issuing IPC's, It involves dealing with change, assessing and Instructing variations & Financially forecasting on your packages.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my team and I enjoy the responsibility. I dislike the University days and the first two years of my degree are very general knowledge that is good to know but not necessary to be 2 years worth of it. The lectures are bad as I cant understand the tutors.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Its organised, however, there is a lot of admin involved in a degree apprenticeship and the work life balence doesn't exist. You end up spending your weekends doing assignments and logging Off the job hours + my employer wants me to keep a portfolio and evidence where i meet criterias, on top of development sessions and normal work.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Support is available and they say the right things. However, I feel judged if i was to take any support as previously i reached out to my line manager about being stressed and instead of listening, they told me i had a issue with time management not workload and gave me tips for time management. Being a first year apprentice at the time, on a small project and having lots on my plate individually, it was a mixture of both and i really needed my work load to be reduced. They used it against me in appraisals too as a reason to not promote me to a higher level.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It helps, the first two years of learning in the Uni doesn't help my day to day jobs. However, the general knowledge is good to have.

Would you recommend Mace to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Overall, they are good. I would recommend. However, i cant really answer this question as I have no comparison/ benchmark as I haven't done a degree apprenticeship in another company to say that Mace is good. They might do it better elsewhere, I wouldn't know.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Mace?
learn about the structure of the business and the different business units. Also Learn about the Job Mace are working on.
