Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Daily tasks are supporting the project manager and project director on projects. Effectively communicating with stakeholders both internally and externally within the company. Following health and safety and company policies.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I do enjoy the programme and I like how my university work reflects in what I do in my daily job. The programme also offers support through training sessions every month, focusing on key skills or knowledge

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes I have improved my communication, problem solving, time management and confidence. I have developed lots of new skills as well like report writing and analytical thinking.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is structures with targets to hit throughout the 4/5 programme. These targets can be surrounding work done in the work place as well as completing university work and chartership
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a large amount of support from my employer surrounding my apprenticeship. There is multiple ways of support from the Emerging talent / HR side as well as line managers and other colleagues working with you on projects. Someone is always willing to help you learn and improve!
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive a lot of support from my university for both my university work and my on the job work, especially with balancing the two and my personal life. There are many routes to gain support and is based on the needs i.e. academic support
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The qualification I'm currently working towards is specific to my job role and therefore gives a large amount of background knowledge that helps me understand my job role more. Some things I learn also gives me specific knowledge about my job and industry.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes there are but a lot of them are focused around major cities like London or Manchester.

Gain some work experience because they value that over grades. Be confidence and yourself and show your enthusiasm to learn. Learn about the company and the key projects that Mace have contributed to
