Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

attending daily stand up meetings for my project, monitoring the Support Helpdesk and trying to resolve any incidents, keeping track of teams chats and emails in the team, attending any training provided by my colleagues
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have enjoyed the programme and it has given me the opportunity to switch careers into a new field, gain a qualification while learning on the job
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt more about Linux commands and navigating around a server, and how a project comes together from an application team coming to us and our team building the environment for the application to run on
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

Not as well structured as it could be. Modules could be more evenly spaced out throughout the year, and BUD needs to be reorganised as a lot of information relating to assignments is not relevant and can be confusing/misleading.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive full support from my employer and my manager has been excellent at providing me with as much time as i need to complete any coursework or assignments i may have
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I have support from my tutor and can email him at any point to ask questions or attend drop in sessions that he offered for support on the programme. He has fully supported me the entire duration of the project which i really appreciate
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel that the qualification itself has been interesting to learn and has provided a good background knowledge in general for the area i work in and the overall structure of the organisation and things i ned to be aware of. I would have liked to have seen more technical modules to actually give me some hands on learning and knowledge of activities i may be carrying out within my job role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

there are online social activities arranged by the apprentices which is good but not many social activities for my area that I am able to attend

Why?
As it is an amazing opportunity to gain a qualification while being paid to learn new skills on the job and can aply for an apprenticeship whether you are a school leaver or a more mature student looking for a career change
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NatWest Group?
To be yourself, be curious and ask questions, be open to learning and show good behaviours. You may not know anything when you start, but apply yourself and show willingness to learn and appreciate the time others spend training with you
